Message	the better tires are the Mts and BFGs, but you can't use the traction they provide (well maybe once). So, the Nittos will give you some "built in protection" with less grip, and allow the power to be put to the ground linearly (is that a word?) without unduely loading the clutch. For a twice a year endeavor, I'd go with the 245/50/16 555r Nittos on a set of TT rear wheels. Good luck, Mark
